I know it sounds strange, since I can only recall Alice's face from way back in the old Conover

Elementary School and Shuford's , but I remember one distinct moment in Sixth Grade P.E.

when I noticed her look while we were in a circle in back of the building, doing something around

and around (she was on the opposite side of the circle).

It was a look of concern and determination to "get it right". I remember her in this way: not one

of very close association, but I took a lesson from it...to be determined to "get it right".

You see, I just made a mistake with the "enter" button! I thought, "What am I going to do?"

Sure, I figured it out myself, but I was reminded of the right attitude.

I admired her from that day forward.

Good Night, but I'm sure it's a Good Day,

Alice!

Alice Rose Dellinger Day passed away on December 22, 1998.

We were elementary school friends, but lost touch afterwards as interests and friend groups changed. She was one of those people who, looking back now, I wish I would have been friends with back then. I was very saddened to read she had passed, and we never had the chance to reconnect as we would have had a lot in common.

Sad to hear about another classmate that past away.I didn't get to know her well as the other classmates.I do remember her always having a smile on her face. I hated that we lost so many our classmates now . 1977 classmates are a very caring group of people. My prayers for the family.
